TAI CHI TUESDAYS

Looking for an exercise that will reduce stress, lengthen your life, lower your blood pressure, and give you a sense of both physical and emotional balance?  A workout that you actually look forward to? Join us here at Weathers Creek for Tai Chi Tuesdays, 7-8 pm each Tuesday in August and September. The cost for the course is $75.00.

Our sage and enthusiastic instructor Amy Becton says "Tai chi positions improve body posture, realign the body with gravity and can correct repetitive movement damage. I have seen lower back problems, joint problems, arthritis, numbness, and posture related pain disappear after a few years of tai chi training." We'll be hosting another 8-week session beginning in August. To register, please click here .

Amy, a Tai Chi instructor at Davidson College, teaches our 8-week course.   She has been practicing Tai Chi since 1987 and is currently a member of the Golden Flower Tai Chi School.

Tai Chi is a cumulative exercise, first you learn the techniques and the principals behind the movements and then learn the form by putting it all together. There is an amazing amount of energy in stillness and slow effortless moves. Science has proven the life-changing benefits of Tai Chi. Studies show that these ancient Chinese exercises reduce the clinical symptoms of cardiovascular disease by lowering cholesterol, blood pressure, pulse rate and improving aerobic capacity.

It is great no matter what age you are!
